Travel with photographer Ron Levine as your guide to Havana for a week of photography and culture in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The past and the future stand side by side in this visually astonishing city. 

Ron and his Cuban photographer counterpart, Pedro Abascal, will take you on a tour of the renowned Cuban Ballet School, where students ages 8 to 18 rehearse and perform 7 days a week. We will visit two Cuban boxing schools where youngsters as well as old pros ply their trade. We will walk the celebrated Maleçon along the shore where locals and tourists play.  And spend a day with a farm family at their tobacco & coffee plantation two hours out of Havana, where the famed Cohiba and Monte Cristo cigars are produced. Plus much, much more.

Whether your love of photography includes portraits, street scenes, landscapes, architectural treasures or even old cars, you will be entranced with Havana’s vibrancy and visual opportunities. Life is on the streets and Ron will help you to capture it with precision and imagination. Pedro will guide us through the fascinating backstreets of Old Havana as we walk through the City and take in its remarkable history.

We stay at a four-star Colonial hotel in Old Havana, which includes breakfast and a private bathroom. Singles or shared accommodations are available. We will eat at some of the best restaurants Havana has to offer … as well as authentic family-owned dining rooms.

Discussions of participants’ photography will be held after most breakfasts. And Ron will be there on site to help you advance your proficiency, so that you return to Montreal with enhanced insight into your work and an improved skill-set to bring your portfolio to the next level.

Cost for this unique 6 night/6-day workshop is CDN $3,800/ person, single occupancy; and CDN $3,300/ person, double occupancy. Flights are extra [~ $500 CDN]. The trip includes all breakfasts, airport transfers, internal travel/taxi costs, welcome and farewell dinners at 5-star restaurants in the heart of Old Havana. All other meals, drinks and gratuities are not included. [lunches are  approximately USD $10-15] Trip cancellation, medical insurance, and other incidentals are extra.

• Balance of fee is due August 20, 2020.

• There is a $600 non-refundable cancellation fee up to September 30, 2020.
